This role involves identifying and writing funding bids applications to a range of funders to support our work with women. You will have responsibility to show project aims and outcomes clearly. You will be very organised with the ability to manage several funding applications at any given time.

Purpose of role/summary
We are looking for an individual with writing experience (essential for role) with excellent writing skills and ability to show the projects aims and outcomes clearly when writing funding applications. You will be organised and self-motivated, and very passionate about the work that we do.
The role will involve identifying suitable funding sources and writing bid applications to a range of National Lottery distributors, local authorities and private trusts and organisations.
Skills or experience required?
- Computer literate with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Creative thinker with lots of ideas
- To take responsibility for bid/tender processes including identify funding sources, writing bid applications through to submission and follow up work.
- Excellent communicator with good listening skills to build relationships with funders and other stakeholders.
- Excellent proof-reading skills with strong attention to details
- Provide monthly updates/reports to the managing directors and board members.
- Strong organisational skills and persuasive writing skills to our funders.
- Identify new ways to promote our funding efforts to the community.

To engage stakeholders in consultation about the services women returners want and need to support them to move forward into work-readiness and more authentic living.
An individual with lived experience as a women returner would be very desirable. A champion for our cause.
Skills or experience required?
- Computer literate with Microsoft programmes e.g. Word, PowerPoint
- Ability to work with volunteer manager on development of long-term community engagement strategy.
- To work in collaboration with voluntary organisations and individuals to enhance our services.
- To identify ways to promote inclusion of women living in rural areas to access our services.
- Identify new ways to engage women returners on a community roots level.
- To plan consultation meetings for stakeholders including women returners, referral partners and other invested individuals/organisations.
- To collate and interpret information from consultation meetings to inform our future growth and working relationships with all stakeholders.
- A very positive outlook and capacity to engage others with ease, comfortable with networking with groups of individuals e.g. organisations and funding advisors.
- Experience in public speaking would be highly valuable to our work.
